Dear Blog guests ...

Dear Blog guests,

Thank you for visiting my blog.

This blog has been designed to provide information on ear, nose, throat, head & neck conditions and also special topics in facial plastic & reconstructive surgery. Its purpose is to inform and educate in a simple, fun and digestible format that most can understand… and yet garnish with a little extra information just for those of you who would be medical students, or like to dive that little deeper into understanding the body.

Who am I, and why blog?

I am a Specialist Oto-rhino-laryngologist ( latin for” ear-nose-voice box” ) whose practice include head and neck conditions as well as functional and aesthetic facial plastic & reconstructive surgery. Over my years of practice, I have had the real privilege of educating all levels of healthcare professionals, from lay persons, nurses, medical students, peer specialists to professors, and from public talks to major international meetings. And what have I noticed?

Irrespective of their individual background, everyone is keen to learn especially if it is fun! The greatest joy I have had, and still experience, is when I see that “light-bulb” turn on in the eyes of my listener, when something I said suddenly forms that missing link for the information they carry. It is a wonderful moment, and the information delivered is usually minor, but their circuit is completed.

I can only educate with the things I know so I hope you will enjoy and learn from my blog on my specialty subject.

I dedicate this blog to all those who have taught me “how to see and how to listen”, from my patients to my professors. The world is my teacher…thank you for letting me share them with you.
